Body language cues a girl gives if she likes you

When a girl likes you, it is not necessary that she would express the same verbally, just keep a close watch on her body language. She might not talk or write to you but there is another way in which she can choose to express herself. A lot of people convey their feelings through their hands, eyes and other parts of the body. Sometimes they do it as they are too shy to express themselves verbally. Another reason behind them expressing their feelings through their body language is that they want you to approach them. You must be alert enough to notice their body language and approach them as and when they expect you to.

Here are a few body language cues a girl gives if she likes you:

1. Holds your hand

If a girl holds your hand, even for a second, it could mean various things. Do not get disappointed if she does not hold it for a long time. You cannot expect her to be too up front with her feelings. The fact that she held your hand should give you the inkling that she is interested in you.

2. Smile

If a girl smiles at you for a long time and in a somewhat mischievous manner, then she could be interested in you. You should respond to her by smiling back at her. A smile denotes happiness and positive. If you have known a girl for a long time and she smiles at you whenever she is around you, then she enjoys your company and feels happy in your presence.

3. Waving of hands

Waving of hands is a gesture of friendliness and warmth. Of course, you come across several people everyday, including girls, who wave at you. But, if she waves at you very often and looks at you as if expecting you to wave back at her, there is a possibility of her being interested in you.

4. Fiddling with hair

You do get a bit distracted when a girl fiddles with her hair when you are talking to her. Well, that could probably be her objective after all. When a girl moves her fingers around her hair, it makes all the more attractive. It lends a certain feminine charm to her which makes her all the more beautiful.

5. Making eye contact

Eyes are the most expressive part of our body. You can convey all that you want to express through your eyes without even uttering a word. A girl gazes straight into your eyes and looks at you intently for some time. If a girl makes eye contact with you, it means she has noticed you.

6. Winking

Batting of eyelids is a mischievous and cute way of drawing somebody’s attention. Winking is a very subtle but effective way of letting somebody know that you are attracted to them. You must know how to put your eyes to effective use when you want someone to notice you. You need not wink at them but you must respond to them in some way.

7. Comes closer

You are having a conversation and suddenly, you notice her getting close to you. She is getting closer to you because she is comfortable standing close to you. She would not have been standing at an arm’s distance from you if she did not like you. She could get so close to you that you would almost feel like she is going to touch you. Being extremely close to her will make you imagine various possibilities.

8. Bites her lips

Biting lips is a mischievous and playful manner in which girls let guys know that they are interested in them. She will bite her lips, look at you and smile. Do not get intimidated by her gesture. It just means that she is interested in you. You could smile back at her and approach her.

9. Plays with fingers

Girls have this habit of playing with their fingers. If she is interested in you, she would move her fingers in a way that would suggest that she is observing you. She could also get nervous and start playing with her fingers. You have to be observant enough to notice when she invites you to come close to her.

10. Change in pace

She starts walking slowly when she sees you. She could be walking at a fast pace but slows down when you are around her. Her hurried pace changes into a slower and relaxed one as you register your presence around her. She would stop to look at you or talk to you.

You do not necessarily have to wait for a girl to express her feelings verbally. There are various ways in which she can express her interest in you. Observe her carefully and wait for her to express the same. A person’s body language is the mirror to their personality. The way they walk, talk and make different kinds of gestures reveals their thoughts. You should keep looking for these cues and approach her at the right time.
